"When fate arrives the doctor becomes a fool”. Arabic proverb………and there were certainly some fools in this latest, very different, offering from PJ Nevada. Aren’t doctors supposed to be the intelligent ones?
But let's not talk about the fools – namely Dr. Shane Roberts and Hospital Administrator, Brad Simpson, both pompous as**s with over-inflated ego’s and all-round SOBs. No. Don't want to go there, but I do want to go to Elijah Garrett, Surgical and Practical Nurse and his insta-love love for Coffee Shop Manager, Chase White. Another couple that this author paired so well together. I'm a firm believer that a good cup of coffee can save any day, their story proved it, but there were times when that coffee could have easily been thrown over both of them and their misreadings and misunderstandings….
And is it my imagination, or is this author getting dirtier with every book? His writing always fascinates me, he has developed this unique knack of going from sweet, simple, sexy sex to downright dirty sex, quicker than an attorney suing a hospital for medical negligence, lol. Not that there was any medical negligence in this storyline but medical emergency? Oh yes. And a big surprise, I certainly wasn’t expecting that one. But no spoilers, read it yourself to see.
I will always self prescribed to this author's books and put myself in his care, because his books are fun, easy to read sexy fun (with a lean to the dirty as well), with a HEA that is mandatory for me.

This was a first read for this author.
I had high hopes just going by the blurb. I found it an okay read despite the distracting eg. [G2] editing additions in the first half of the book, also a few spelling errors further in. The characters were great although a bit repetitive at the start with Elijah and Shane's scenes.
Elijah was a surgical nurse who had the hots for Dr Shane Roberts..unfortunately for El Shane had a fiancee.. Later Elijah meets Chase a manager of Starbucks and they set a date.. The book has a few twists and turns. but you'll have to read to see how it all ends.
I love to watch a good hospital soap opera, and when one of your fave authors writes a book thats quite similar, well, I have to read it. And I wasn't disappointed. Elijah is adorable and his crush on Dr Shane "I have an ego as big as the rocky mountains" Roberts, well, you just have to forgive him for that. Luckily there comes his sweet coffee shop owning knight in shining armour. I love Chase, and both, Elijah and Chase together, AWE-SOME. You'll love this cute "bunnys" have a go on one another, and not just in the bedroom ;)
But I don't want to spoil anything, just let me say this if you love a little drama, an amazing male nurse you want to adopt on the spot as new best friend, some sweet lovestory thats melting your heart and will let you sigh dreamily, a twist you wouldn't see coming your way and a best friend with his scandinavian bed-sport-partner, THIS is definitely the read for you!
At one point I almost got an heartattack (AGAIN!!) but gladly this time a hunky doctor and a sweet nurse were in the house D
